INVITATION FOR BIDS(IFB)

1) On behalf of the Roads and Bridges Development Corporation of Kerala Limited, its Managing Director invites bids under two bid systems (1. Pre qualification Bid and Technical Bid. 2) Price Bid) for the Widening and Strengthening of Malampuzha Dam Ring Road.

Approximate Value of work - 31.00 Crores

Bid Security - 46.50 Lakhs

Time of completion - 2 months

2. Contractors having experience of similar works and with financial and technical capabilities as specified will be eligible to bid for the work. Interested bidders may obtain further details from RBDCK at the address given above.

3. Bidding documents (in 2 copies) may be purchased during working hours ( 10.30 am to 3.00 pm) from the office of Roads and Bridges Development Corporation of Kerala Ltd up to 13-8-2010.The cost of Bid Document ( for each set of 2 copies) is Rs 25,000 which is non refundable. This can be paid in cash or Demand Draft drawn on any Nationalised or Scheduled Bank payable at Ernakulam in favour of Roads and Bridges Development Corporation of Kerala Ltd.

4) Bids must be accompanied by the Bid Security specified above ,payable at Ernakulam and drawn in favor of Roads and Bridges Development Corporation of Kerala Ltd. Exemption certificates will not be accepted.

5) Bids must be delivered to RBDCK at the address given above on or before 4.00 P.M on 16 -8-2010.Late bids will be rejected .Cover I of the bids constituting prequalification and Technical bids will be opened on the same day at 4.30 P.M. The date and time of opening of price bid will be intimated to the qualified bidders.

6) If the Employers office happens to be closed on the date of receipt of the bids as specified, the bids will be received and opened on the next working day at the same time and venue.
